Meeting, the Second.

Well, the meeting today seemed to go quite well, I thought. There were only 5 of us that turned up (see the last post for details), but hopefully everyone will be able to make it to the next meeting, so we should just about make double figures :D

On the topic of the next meeting, it's going to be held a week earlier than usual so RayRay stands a chance of coming :) Therefore:

What: Epic meet 3
When: Sunday 21st March, at 12pm (noon)
Where: Outside Central Station in Newcastle.

Once again, we'll be waiting 10 - 15 minutes for latecomers to arrive, but ry to make it on time, because we won't hang around forever. And if the damn road I needed to take to get to the free parking is shut again, bear with me if I'm uber-stressed/hyper. And get me to check where my damn car key is. (I lost my car key during this meting and had to wait 90 minutes for my Dad to drive down and find me with a spare. And it was cold. VERY cold.)

Anyways, enough ranting for now :) Oh, and if anyone took any pictures, then publish them somewhere on the internet and send me a link so I can post it up :)

Who's Going to Meet #2?

Alright, people, one week until the meeting! Therefore, now is probably a good time to get up a blog to say who will be going, with a brief description so we know who people are. I'll be updating this as much as I can as more people say they're coming, so keep checking back to see who else will be attending!

Just to remind you:
Where - Newcastle Central Station, by the entrance.
When - 28th Feb (this Sunday) at 12pm

Who is coming:

Lorze the Brookes (Laura) - Quite fat with brown hair, wearing glasses, purple hoodie, black and white checkered skull bag, probably big boots.
dance with the devil (Bec) - Quite small, dark hair, wearing a black beanie with a skull and a black jacket.
Sabulana (Emma) - "haven't really got a plan for what to wear. Long brown hair though, always tied back and always an uncontrollable mess. >.> And jeans. Always jeans. XD"
Flashie-Black-13 (Georgia) - "short, usually spiky-ish dark brown hair. I'll probably wear blue-white or purple-black jeans and a black t-shirt with pink Vans (the ones with the black squares on, :P)" Also plus one - Emma.

If you want to come, then send me a comment with your FanFiction.net (or FanBBS.net) name, your real first name (optional - it helps avoid shouting out random Fanfic author names o get people's attention), and a brief description of what you'll be wearing, or whatever.

There's already a meet planned on 20th Feb. It's a cosplay. If any of you have facebook, you should check out North East Cosplay Meets. If you don't, here are the details:

Time: 11:00 - 14:00
Location: Newcastle, Stodart street, beside Chinese gate
Plan: going to Chinese supermarket and then to anime shops then Twist

I didn't plan it, but I'm sure that those who did would be happy to have more people. If you can't find us, then just look for those chatting and screaming. Although I'm fairly sure the cosplay outfits will give us away :)"

In other words, when we had the first EPIC FANBBS MEET, we went into an Anime shop (which I've forgotten the name of now) to discover that they were having a Cosplay event on the 20th February. And, to be honest, it does sound like epic lulz (especially if you've actually met Redondo and friends), although I don't think the cosplay part is mandatory.

If anyone wants to go to this, then please do! Yes, I know it's VERY late notice, but I honestly didn't even think about this until I saw Redondo's comment. So huge anime/cosplay/awesome-sauce kudos to Redondo. AND GO TO THE COSPLAY! (I won't be there, but only because I have an Open Day at Sunderland Uni.)

In other news, on Sunday, I'll be starting up a sort of running blog of who will be coming, and a brief description so we don't end up randomly hugging strangers. Well, we will, but, you know. So keep an eye out for that! I'll be updating it as we get closer to the event and more people say they can come, so check back regularly :)

(And no, I don't know how to sort out the annoying first chapter indent discrepancy.)

Meeting Suggestions

Hi everyone :)

When we had our meeting yesterday (31st Jan), we went around a couple of manga shops, before wandering around a bit and ending up in Subway for lunch. But what do any of you want to do?

Obviously, I appreciate that most of you don't know Newcastle well enough to be specific, but if you have any suggestions for what we do during our meetings, then feel free to comment with them, and we'll do our best to make them happen if they're practical :D (I say 'we' because I don't know Newcastle nearly as well as I could do :P).

So, yeah, any suggestions, stick 'em in a comment and drop them off under this post :) And hopefully see you all at Newcastle Central Station on the 28th :D
