Meeting, the Second.

Well, the meeting today seemed to go quite well, I thought. There were only 5 of us that turned up (see the last post for details), but hopefully everyone will be able to make it to the next meeting, so we should just about make double figures :D

On the topic of the next meeting, it's going to be held a week earlier than usual so RayRay stands a chance of coming :) Therefore:

What: Epic meet 3
When: Sunday 21st March, at 12pm (noon)
Where: Outside Central Station in Newcastle.

Once again, we'll be waiting 10 - 15 minutes for latecomers to arrive, but ry to make it on time, because we won't hang around forever. And if the damn road I needed to take to get to the free parking is shut again, bear with me if I'm uber-stressed/hyper. And get me to check where my damn car key is. (I lost my car key during this meting and had to wait 90 minutes for my Dad to drive down and find me with a spare. And it was cold. VERY cold.)

Anyways, enough ranting for now :) Oh, and if anyone took any pictures, then publish them somewhere on the internet and send me a link so I can post it up :)

Ta-ta for now,

- Lorze the Brookes

  3. @ Bec - Heh, you know I'm relying on you to keep the rest of them waiting for me if I get held up by roadworks again :P

@ Georgia - That's alright, and the next meet isn't for a couple of weeks yet, so you've got plenty of time to find out what you're doing :)

  7. @beccarella - you won't get busier than newcastle towncentre on a weekend, I can almost guarentee that, cept maybe for glasgow town centre.

The metro would be a good idea I think if people didn't drive, but its a bitch to park in and harder to get to since its through in gateshead.

And I can come!!!! Almost definately, since I'm not going back home until the following friday. I can't wait to meet you all!!!

  8. Beccarella - I'll PM this to you as well, but I'm going to comment on here so everyone else can see as well. I don't think that should be a problem - I'll put up a new post to see if anyone else disagrees with it, and if they do then I can ask dance with the devil if she would wait in the metro while I hang around the entrance to Central to catch anyone who didn't check either the forum or this blog.

  9. Oh, hang on, are we not talking about the Metro part of Newcastle Station? I drive up from an hour to the south, so I don't know Newcastle or Gateshead nearly as much as I could :/

*Dies with excitement at the prospect of 12 people possibly being able to make it*

  11. At this moment, I have no idea how to get to the Metro Centre but I do know where and how to find out so it shouldn't be much of a problem if we do meet there. Of course, the meeting place will have to be hugely obvious and easily findable because otherwise I'll get lost and never find anyone. >.> It's been years since I last went.

But Newcastle city centre is plenty busy, I would have thought. Central Station especially. It's not like any of us are psycho murderers or anything anyway.

  13. You could always bring a friend. Your mother could even come along to meet us too. She doesn't have to stick around, of course but the option is there. How old are you, out of curiousity?

Anyway, I had a look around the Metro Centre website and found this~

    http://www.metrocentre.uk.com/sitefiles/MALL%20MAP%20JANUARY.pdf

A map of the place. In case we do decide to move the meeting there, I thought it would come in handy. ^^; Getting there would be...complicated for me but I might be able to manage it.

  17. I don't know, this meeting it's not really up to me to say :/ dance with the devil is my stand-in here, and she knows the Metro (and the Newcastle/Sunderland area) a lot better than I do.

Do you know roughly how long it would take you to get from the Metro Centre to Newcastle Central station? From the point of view of people who've already been, it might be easier if someone met you at the Metro Centre station and then came with you to Central.

(If your mother objects to you leaving the station we could always try not telling her lol :D)

  18. i'd be pretty willing to meet beccarella at the metrocentre, so long as its in the bus stop or one of the stores in the mall next to it

  19. Well you're in charge of this meeting, Bec, so you can make the call. I'm too stressed about my friends all falling out with each other to get stressed over the Metro Centre. Lol.

Just tell me what you want to do, and I'll put up a new post telling everyone what's happening :)

  20. well, I'll meet beccarella at the metrocentre at about 12, i'll be wearing a black coat and most likely grey skinny jeans, and then we shall make our way to central, sound good?

  21. Hmm, hold that thought a minute - RayRay's suggested that, since a couple of us can't make it, we should maybe have the meeting in early April instead. We'll wait a couple of days to see what people say about that, but if we decide to keep it the same, then go ahead :) I'll make it clear what's going to happen in my next post lol
