And this month we're back in Newcastle. I've taken the liberty of bringing the meeting forward a week as the last Sunday of December is Boxing Day and I don't know about you, but I don't feel like braving Newcastle or Sunderland when the Boxing Day sales start. So we will be meeting outside Central Station at 12pm. We will wait for around 15 minutes for anyone who's running late.

30/10/10 Sunderland. Who's gonna be there?

04/10/10 Who's gonna be there?
Well, this is my first post. And it also Laura's last meeting for a while.
So, down to business. The next meeting is on 4th September. The meeting time and place are still the same, 12pm outside of Newcastle Central Station.
And now for who's going to be there
Bec- Small, brown shoulder length hair. Will be wearing jeans, a t-shirt of some description and a black coat
Laura- tall-ish, not the skinniest person ever, will be wearing clothes and my checkered skull bag. Yep.
Grace- short, cropped blonde hair, probably wearing converse, jeans and t-shirt.

Who's Gonna Be There (and what are we doing?) - 25/7/10
Wow, it's already nearly time for the next fanBBS meeting. This should have been posted yesterday, but I was being lazy and distracted by an awesome new game I have. Which is awesome.
Before we get to the "Who'll be there" list, I want to sort out what we're actually doing. I know the Sunderland Air Show is on that weekend, but it's a tad awkward for me to get to (plus I have slight lack of funds for that). So, do we want to hang around Newcastle, like we do every time, or do we want to do something else? The floor is open for discussion (by which I mean the comment section).
Anyway, onto the main part of this journal - who's gonna be there. Just to remind everyone, if we're staying in Newcastle, then we're meeting at 12pm outside the Central Station. If we decide on the Air Show or whatever, then this will possibly be altered.

Lorze the Brookes (Laura) - tall-ish, long hair, glasses, black-and-white checkered skull bag. Will probably be wearing 3 quarter length trousers and a purple 'girl-top'.
Sabulana (Emma) - jeans, a t-shirt of some kind, trainers, purple bag, purple coat.

Who's Gonna Be There: 27/6/10
Oh yes, it's that time again! Time to all meet up and go crazy in Newcastle, just because we can and it's a convenient meeting point!
You should all know the drill by now:
Where: Newcastle Central Station, just outside the doors.
When: 27/6/10, meeting at 12 noon.
Why: Because we can.
Yes, well, I ran out of interesting things to say already, so I'll just go start up the "Who'll be here" list, beginning with yours truly :)
Lorze the Brookes (Laura) - Tall-ish, fat-ish, glasses, long hair, will be wearing an awesome black long sleeved goth top and denim shorts. Because that's just how I roll. Oh, and black and white checkered skull bag.
Dance with the devil (Bec) - small, dark reddish hair, will be wearing grey jeans and a black waterproof jacket and some kind of t-shirt underneath.

We all suceed at Life.
Whee, the meeting was a success yet again :D Myself, RayRay, missrebecca, Willow and her friend John all met outside Central Station, before waiting in a REALLY REALLY LONG QUEUE to get into the Life Centre.
And it was worth it :D
The Dr Who exhibition was actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be - the first part was focused on the new series, but then it was back to David Tenant :D Then we all got some (overpriced) food before watching a short film called "We Are Astronomers", with David Tenant voicing over and some weird orange square-headed things with inane grins running around and talking to us. Still, it was definitely one of the best parts :D
Hopefully I should be getting some pictures from this meet as well as last meet, so I'll post them up in the DeviantArt group I set up (http://fanbbsnewcastle.deviantart.com), and you can all chuckle at the weird things we do. Or not, Iunno.

FULL OF FAIL. Plus who's gonna be there :3
Full of fail, I am. Argh, been so busy this last couple of weeks with my Drama practical on Wednesday that I totally forgot to post up the who'll be there post! Argh, forgive me :(
Y'all know the drill by now, we're meeting this Sunday (30th May) at the entrance to Central Station in Newcastle, 12pm gathering, yadda yadda. So, stick up a comment with what you'll be wearing - and yes, if I know you're coming, then I'll hang around until you get there.
OH YES! Forgot before, but bring some money so we can get into the Life Centre. I know - it sounds unlikely, but we actually have EPIC PLANZ for this meeting!
Who'll Be There:
Lorze the Brookes - tall-ish, fat, looong hair, probs be wearing a band shirt and 3/4 lengths. Or maybe not, Iunno D: (I'm tired, go away.)
miss rebecca - "5ft5, fringe funny brown/blonde/red (my highlights are still there somewhere) hair, I've been told I'm skinny but I have a huge arse :D, ermmm I'll probably be wearing my bright pink shift and my grey tailored jacket...maybe...if not I'll be with RayRay and Willow anyway"
RayRay - same height as I was last time (5ft6), possibly skinnier - either way skinny, most likely wearing jeans and a t-shirt, possibly a skirt. Black jacket.
Willow - "quite short, quite round and mid-length gingery blonde hair that may be tied back or left down.
I'll probably be wearing jeans, a band t-shirt of some type and a black jacket. :D" Possibly plus 1 - John.
Sabulana - "jeans, black top, purple coat, either purple or black bag and trainers." (if she has the moneys)
Yeah, so comment etc etc, but bear in mind that I'll be slow to update Tues and Wed due to rehearsals for EXAM PERFORMANCE OF ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST ARGH. (EDIT - Tues: gah, I'm so freaking tired D: Can't wait for the weekend. I hope I have the energy to be something approaching hyperactive D: /edit)

Computer problems :(
Just letting people know, my computer decided to give up the ghost, so while I'm waiting for my dad to look at it for me, I'm not going to be able to answer any comments :( This is very annoying for me, but hopefully my Dad should be able to fix my computer soon, so we can get back to business as usual :)

Epic Success!
Well, I've just got back from Epic Meet the Third, and my feet are sore from walking, so I would say that this meeting has been a rather good success! It's a pity more people couldn't make it, but I obviously understand if other things came up or you just couldn't make it :)
A brief synopsis of the meeting - we met at Central Station, had lunch, went down to the waterfront and over the Millennium Bridge, watched some traditional dancers and their accordion accompaniments, spent some time in the Baltic, and then went to Eldon Square for some shopping. And yes, we got pictures! Most are of the dancers (taken by me), but there are a couple of the meeters, which will hopefully shortly be posted up on DeviantArt, so keep an eye out for them at http://fanbbsnewcastle.deviantart.com :P
Well, that's pretty much everything for that meeting. The next meeting should be on Sunday 30th May (same time and place, of course), and I reckon it might be a good idea to save up at least £10 so that we can go to the Life Centre and run around like little kids :D (I don't know the exact price for admission, but I reckon £10 should cover it).
If you want to know anything else about this last meeting, or have any suggestions for following meets, then leave a comment :D Any suggestions are welcome!

It's finally that time again! In only seven days time, the people of Newcastle will hopefully be quaking in fear (or at least larfing at our crazy antics) as we roam the city and generally go crazy!

But y'know, it's always better if we know exactly *who* will be there, and what they look like/will be wearing. So! Epic meet is epic?
I'm bored of FAIL MEET taking all the focus on my blog. What we should be focusing on is the next EPIC MEET! Where RayRay will be joining us! And Bec will need some epic good times to make up for missing Dr Who! And I will be hyper regardless!
But, let's face it, epic meetings need planning. And a basic knowledge of Newcastle.
So! I want you all to tell me what is epic and what is realistic for us! I want to remember this! And I want someone with a camera and a DeviantArt account, because I started up a group for us on there! For EPIC PHOTOS and EPIC OTHER RELATED STUFFS which I have not decided on yet. (You can find it at http://fanbbsnewcastle.deviantart.com/, by the way :P)
So, remember, kiddies! Only you can stop wildfire - uh, I mean, only you can make this meeting as epic as it can be! And now I shall be off. For sleep and the such. Yes, I shouldn't be up this late. Oops :P

Fail Meet is Fail
It is official: The proposed March meeting (from now on referred to as FAIL meet) is fail. Not even epic fail. Just ordinary, bog-standard failage, which I will take full responsibility for.
Therefore, EPIC MEET the third will take place on Sunday 25th April (same time, same place), and to make up for the disproportionate amount of FAIL on my part, I ask all of you for help on making this meet worthy of the title of EPIC MEET. That's right. Epic meet. A meet that is epic. In full capitals.
Oh, and the fan-art idea still stands, I may dig out some of my old stuff to bring along as well :P

Updates and Fan Art
Alright, first thing's first: after some discussion on the FanBBS Newcastle meetings link on FanBBS, we've decided that it would be better if we postponed the meeting date until the 4th of April - that's 2 weeks after we originally said, but it looks like more people can make it, so we'll see how it goes.
To reiterate:

Where: Newcastle Central Station.
Sorry for any mix-ups or complications this causes, but I won't be changing the date again unless extreme circumstances arise.
In other news, Yoshino has been in touch with me about the possibility of bringing fan art and fan comics to the meetings to share around. I'm sure we've all doodled at least a few characters from our chosen fandoms at some point or other, so it would be good to show everyone a more visual representation of our stories. If you have any feedback on this new idea, just send in a comment, as always, and we'll see what people think :)

School play FAIL
Argh, this is annoying - my Drama teacher decided that, because we're doing the school play (Under Milk Wood) in the week after the 3rd meeting, we're going to have a rehearsal on the 21st. So, I either don't turn up for the rehearsal, instead choosing to spend my time getting to know you bunch of nutters/lovely people, or I turn up for the rehearsal and don't get to see RayRay for ANOTHER MONTH.
This is so annoying for me - I should go to the rehearsal (because it's kinda important for the play) but I really don't want to let you lot down. If I decide to go to the rehearsal, then I'll probably ask Bec to take charge of things, although I'll be keeping an eye on things via this blog.

Meeting, the Second.
Well, the meeting today seemed to go quite well, I thought. There were only 5 of us that turned up (see the last post for details), but hopefully everyone will be able to make it to the next meeting, so we should just about make double figures :D
On the topic of the next meeting, it's going to be held a week earlier than usual so RayRay stands a chance of coming :) Therefore:
What: Epic meet 3
When: Sunday 21st March, at 12pm (noon)
Where: Outside Central Station in Newcastle.
Once again, we'll be waiting 10 - 15 minutes for latecomers to arrive, but ry to make it on time, because we won't hang around forever. And if the damn road I needed to take to get to the free parking is shut again, bear with me if I'm uber-stressed/hyper. And get me to check where my damn car key is. (I lost my car key during this meting and had to wait 90 minutes for my Dad to drive down and find me with a spare. And it was cold. VERY cold.)
Anyways, enough ranting for now :) Oh, and if anyone took any pictures, then publish them somewhere on the internet and send me a link so I can post it up :)

Shameless (and very late) plug

There's already a meet planned on 20th Feb. It's a cosplay. If any of you have facebook, you should check out North East Cosplay Meets. If you don't, here are the details:
Time: 11:00 - 14:00
Location: Newcastle, Stodart street, beside Chinese gate
Plan: going to Chinese supermarket and then to anime shops then Twist
I didn't plan it, but I'm sure that those who did would be happy to have more people. If you can't find us, then just look for those chatting and screaming. Although I'm fairly sure the cosplay outfits will give us away :)" In other words, when we had the first EPIC FANBBS MEET, we went into an Anime shop (which I've forgotten the name of now) to discover that they were having a Cosplay event on the 20th February. And, to be honest, it does sound like epic lulz (especially if you've actually met Redondo and friends), although I don't think the cosplay part is mandatory.
- If anyone wants to go to this, then please do! Yes, I know it's VERY late notice, but I honestly didn't even think about this until I saw Redondo's comment. So huge anime/cosplay/awesome-sauce kudos to Redondo. AND GO TO THE COSPLAY! (I won't be there, but only because I have an Open Day at Sunderland Uni.)
In other news, on Sunday, I'll be starting up a sort of running blog of who will be coming, and a brief description so we don't end up randomly hugging strangers. Well, we will, but, you know. So keep an eye out for that! I'll be updating it as we get closer to the event and more people say they can come, so check back regularly :)

Meeting Suggestions
Hi everyone :)
When we had our meeting yesterday (31st Jan), we went around a couple of manga shops, before wandering around a bit and ending up in Subway for lunch. But what do any of you want to do?
Obviously, I appreciate that most of you don't know Newcastle well enough to be specific, but if you have any suggestions for what we do during our meetings, then feel free to comment with them, and we'll do our best to make them happen if they're practical :D (I say 'we' because I don't know Newcastle nearly as well as I could do :P).
So, yeah, any suggestions, stick 'em in a comment and drop them off under this post :) And hopefully see you all at Newcastle Central Station on the 28th :D

Newcastle Meet the Second
Alright, people, let's get this blog doing some work.
I propose that we have the next Newcastle meeting at 12pm (noon)on Sunday 28th February. This date is subject to change, however, if too many people say they can't make it for whatever reason, but it's best that we get this sorted earlier, rather than later.
We'll be meeting at the entrance of Central Station in Newcastle (The big train station, in other words). It's incredibly hard to miss, especially if you come by train, and for those who drive down, there's a college which you can park in for free on the Sunday that's about 10-15 minutes walk from the station (Although it is rather interesting to get to if you don't know Newcastle).
Just to recap:

If this date doesn't work for you, or you don't know how to get there, then leave a comment, and I'll get back to you ASAP. Same applies if you want more information on the meet itself.

Welcome to FanBBS: Newcastle meetings!
Hi there! My FanFiction.net penname is Lorze the Brookes, and I guess I'm the one in charge of this blog :) although this is a fairly new experience for me, so please bear with me if I take a while to catch on with anything blog-related :)
This blog was set up in lieu of the first FanBBS meeting held in Newcastle today, which I went to.
